9th Masters' Revival - final results

master revival 2014 2The second day of races of the Italian Masters' Revival, on Sunday 7th December 2014, turned out to be magic for all participants - and not only in terms of results. Twenty skaters (7 women and 13 men) coming from 5 nations (AUS 4, ITA 13, NOR 1, SWE 1, SWI 1) representing age group from 30 till 70. There was a special atmosphere in the track and out of it, of friendship, respect and empathy, which culminated in the victory ceremony, with the presence of IMSSC Honorary Member Antonio Nitto and IMSSC Secretary Paolo Gemme. As the picture shows clearly, everybody was glad to have been part of the event, and, in particular, the athletes who obtained the best times overall, i.e. Marianne Reece (AUS) in 500m and 1,000m, Rossella Sardi (ITA) in 3,000m, Michele Forcone (ITA) in 1,000m, Alf Harbitz (NOR) in 500m, 3,000m and 5,000m and Bernard Gaillard (SWI) in 10,000m races. Next year the Masters' Revival is going to celebrate its 10th edition: the Italian Master group is looking forward to welcoming more foreign competitors, while waiting for the Masters' Sprint Games 2016.
