12th Masters’ ISDR in Hamar – 2nd day

The 17th International Speed Skating Master Cup again belongs to history. 62 skaters fought from Feb.8th to Feb.9th 2014 in Berlin for the best places and good times. The organizational process was very good. Nevertheless, there were few participants this year: few Dutch skaters came to Berlin. Most could not cope with the new registration system: this must be in the next winter still a lot to improve. The end was the popular team running. A total of eight teams could become proficient on Sunday, according to the ice rink again. Whether that is to topen next year ?

 On Saturday Evening there was a modest but pleasant banquet. 107 guests enjoyed good food and each others company. There was some light entertainment in between, and the atmosphere was lively.

As mentioned before, the International Races were combined with the Norwegian Masters Championship, but the organization ran smoothly without problems worth mentioning. We thank all skaters for their efforts, all officials and helpers for their good work, and the HOA (Hamar Olympic Installations) for keeping good temperature in the hall during the cold weather.
