The 16th Annual All Japan Masters Speed Skating Championship took place at Fujikyu Seiko Oval in Yamanashi on January 15th and 16th. Fujikyu Seiko Oval was named because it was home ice rink of Seiko Hashimoto, current chairwoman of Japan Skate Federation. The beautiful outlined Mt. Fuji with blue sky welcome total 73 skaters, including 6 ladies, from all over Japan, especially Mr Iichi Marumo from Nagano, who participated his first time in this event as age 86, born in April 1929, the active oldest speed skater in Japan history.
Next year this event will take place in FUKUSHIMA!
