20th Master Cup – Berlin

It’s always great to race in this fantastic city, more so for the flawless organization of the events, the friendliness of the staff, the ice quality and the superb beer and bockwurst to be found in the bar. In spite of a reduced number of participants, quite a few countries were represented (11!), with the Swedes coming en masse for possibly the first time in years, as well as a couple of Polish skaters (we hope to see more of them in the coming seasons). Personally, I’d like to thank the organizers and judges who did a fantastic job, and especially Mr John Ivar KRISTENSEN who so kindly sharpened my blades. Also, I’d wish to publicly apologize for having missed the premiation ceremony.
See you next time!
