Erfurt Criterion 2019

Erfurt in December is the perfect place for a pre-Christmas speed skating event: The big Christmas market with Glühwein and Gemütlichkeit in a superb medieval setting. And also a speed skating event  in the warm Gunda-Niemann-Stirnemannn-Halle on  superbly prepared ice, run efficiently and smoothly by experienced organisers.
There were 54 participants from Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Switzerland. Even  if this was the first competition of  the season for many of the skaters, 11 personal records were set as well as 5 Masters’ records.
