The IMSSC session meeting was held on January 27 at the Max Aicher Arena in Inzell, Germany. Representatives from nine IMSSC member countries attended in person, with seven countries participating online.
Lyon, France, which had been a candidate at the previous meeting, was selected as the host city for the 2027 MIST Games. Its schedule is TBD. Gothenburg, Sweden, was unanimously selected as the host for the 2027 Masters Sprint Game (MSG) scheduled for February 6-7. Meanwhile, for the Masters Allround Games (MAG), Salt Lake City (SLC), USA, was the sole candidate. Although concerns were raised regarding the current political situation, it was decided that the event would convene in SLC in March 2027. SLC is currently scheduling with other events, International Am Cup Final (Single Distance), Calgary Oval Finale (Canada) on March, 2027 (TBA), enabling skaters to travel one round trip for three big games in North America.
IMSSC is willing to invite all of you for the upcoming games in 2027. Have a good season in 2026 and get ready for the 2027 season.
