In Memoriam Aris Dijksman, IMSSC co-founder

On March 19, 2020 we received the sad news that Aris Dijksman, one of the founders of master speedskating, died on Tuesday 17 March 2020 at the age of 83.

In the early 1990s, Aris with Harry Falke from Haarlem (Netherlands), Volker Serini (Germany) and Swiss skater Peter Reimann, started organizing international competitions for master speedskaters. Years later, this collaboration led to the IMSSC, of which Aris was also named as “Honorary member of the  IMSSC”.

Aris will be sorely missed by us all. Farewell!
