In memoriam Heinz Fischer, great German coach

The IMSSC received a message from Rene van Bernum from Germany that a passionate trainer and coach has past away last weekend.

Heinz (85 y.) worked as an instructor / trainer for 50 years as a volunteer in the children-youth-adult sector and taught several generations the ability and love of speed skating. Everyone admired his incredible commitment with great respect. Heinz fought for our sport right up to the end, also in other honorary positions. He always spoke frankly and stood up for his convictions.
Heinz remains a lasting and grateful memory for many in German and international speed skating.
