As due, all Italian \u201cold\u201d Masters\u2019 of great experience and renown were present \u2013 as well as some \u201cnew\u201d ones, who were welcomed with particular pleasure, since contributing to widen the Italian movement. During the first day, the best times in 500m, 1,000m, 3,000m and 5,000m were obtained by A.Harbitz (NOR), M.Forcone (ITA), A.Harbitz (NOR) and B.Gaillard (SWI), respectively. The night before the beginning of the competition, a welcoming dinner (with good Italian food, wines and grappa) warmed the participants\u2019 hearts. During it, a special price was awarded to the Australian Michael King, for his \u201cItalian passion\u201d, since returning to the Masters\u2019 Revival for the second time in a row.
