In the 44th Session Nils Larsson of Sweden proposed to organize an extra Session in September to investigate the COVID-19 situation at that time. However, due to on going vaccination, it looks like that there is some \u201clight in the tunnel\u201d. The Board expects that participation of masters in competitions in their \u201cown continent” will be possible in most cases, but international travel will still be hindered or restricted due to quarantine measures by countries for not fully vaccinated athletes. The Board also expects that masters are still hesitating to travel
\nto countries where the COVID-19 situation is unclear.
\nAlthough the situation is unpredictable, the Board suggest that all countries prepare the speedskating season 2021-2022 as planned as they already did.<\/p>\n
