There were 24 ladies and 56 men competing. Not only Masters, but also Juniors. The competition was held under perfect conditions. There was good ice and a lot of Seasons Best times and Personal Best times were achieved. Even a Master record was achieved. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Anja Bollaart (L45) skated a new Master record on the 500 meter in 42.70. She was even faster than Jaqueline Munzel in Salt Lake City during the Master Sprint Games.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Although the races were a great success, the organization of the 6<sup>th<\/sup> Masters International Sprint was a little bit disappointed that there were only 3 foreign skaters competing. Marja Sisso-Koriseva, Mika Siren and Jyrki Hietanen, all from Finland, made the long trip to Heerenveen. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">The organization is going to look how they can get more foreign skaters to skate on the fast ice of Heerenveen next year.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 6th Masters International Sprint were held in Heerenveen on March 19th and 20th.
