All skaters were allowed to skate the fourth distances, 3000 m respectively the 5000 m. Martin Haakon Fagna/M80/NOR lowered an IMSSC Record from 2012, 1000 m 1:56,01 min. But it was not a new record because of the better times reached at M80 one week before in Inzell at the 16th International Masters’ SPRINT CLASSICS (see below). The jury and staff around the competition leader Jörg Krakow were very competent and lead the competition well. After the 4 distance combinations a Team Pursuit for Men (8 laps) and Ladies (6 laps) took place. 2 teams Ladies (GER L20-45 and RUS/CAN/GER L40-45) and 4 teams Men (NOR I – M20-25, NOR II M20-25, GER/BEL M40-50 and GER M50-65) had a lot of fun. The best times were 3:57,10 min for 6 laps Ladies and 4:10,73 min for 8 laps Men. The icehall in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen is the second place where a Team Pursuit for Masters took place (the first was Kolomna in Russia). After the drawing on Friday evening at the Hotel Kolumbus there was a very good and substantial buffet for all participants, where the participants of the different countries met and discussed the coming competitions.
