On the 19th & 20th November 2021 the first Masters Short Track competition of the season was held in Sheffield, Great Britain. The competition originally planned for a European Masters event was severely affected by the ongoing Covid situation and many skaters could not travel to England to compete.
It was therefore fantastic that an event could go ahead and a team of French Masters travelled to what turned out to be an amazing event for everyone concerned. Each individual skater competed in 3 distances 500m, 777m and 1000m with a total of 10 individual races over the 2 days followed by a team relay between GB & France. There was such competitive racing from all the skaters and with so much fun had be everyone
After the competition a presentation evening was held in a local venue where everyone who attended was welcomed with specially brewed beers from a local brewery as well as many individual and team awards
It was a huge effort by the organisers to ensure the event took place at all so many congratulations to them on all of their efforts and now we look forward to the MIST Games in Calgary, March 2022.
