Update-2 by the Board with respect to COVID-19

In the beginning of September the Board has published an overview of the COVID-19 situation on our globe. I looked again to the current figures and, as expected, the infection rate is going down in most continents, see picture below.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands publishes every week a global map about travel advices to other countries, see map below. Green means no special attention is required. Yellow means that travellers should follow COVID-19 measures as defined in that country. Orange means that only travel is allowed in urgent cases and red means that travel is forbidden (from the Netherlands).

Although the situation is still uncertain, the Board recommends that all countries prepare the speedskating season 2021-2022 as planned as they already did.
The Board will carefully follow the developments of COVID-19 the next months!
