Season 25–26 has already delivered an impressive set of new records in both LT and ST. Following official approval by the IMSSC at this year’s annual meeting, the updated records lists are now available for download below. A big thank you goes to all organizers who submitted their entries on time and with the correct documentation, as well as Mr. Leen van den Heuvel, who’s always patient enough to correct my preliminary lists.
This season we had 43 new records in total: 20 in LT and 23 in ST. LT breaks down into 8 men’s records and 12 women’s records; ST has 11 men’s records, 11 women’s records, and 1 mixed relay. LT includes 12 unique athletes across 5 countries and 4 venues, while ST includes 11 unique athletes across 5 countries and 2 venues. The most prolific names are Judith Smouter in LT (4 records) and Cameron Boyd in ST (4 records).
Special thanks also go to John McClennan at SpeedSkatingResults.com for supplying real-time API data, which allows us to maintain accurate and up-to-date records with ease. You can view the latest (unofficial) records here >>
