11th Masters’ Revival in Baselga di Piné/ITA

11th Master RevivalOn December 10 and 11, 2016, the 11th edition of the Masters’ Revival was held in Baselga di Piné (Trento, Italy). 21 athletes took part in the competition, of whom one from Australia, two from the United States and four from Switzerland. Two men choose to race the 10K on Saturday: one of them was Nathan Feinberg, AG55, who finished in 17:42.87. His wife Kathie, AG55, raced the 5K, obtaining the good time of 10:03.08. A very strong family! Among the Italians Silvia Tassara, AG60, obtained 52.16 in the 500m trial. Marianne Reece scored her PBs in all distances skated (500m and 1.000m). All Swiss athletes showed their experience, gained in a very long sport career. This is especially true for Peter Reimann, who, in spite of a bad tumble, stood up and finished his race. We wish him a quick recovery.

The weather was sunny and dry and the ice was good. Next year the 12th Masters’ Revival will be held close to the International All-Round Games, which Ice-Rink Piné, A.S.D. Circolo Pattinatori Piné and the Italian Master Movement will be honored to organize, probably on February, subject to IMSSC approval.
