Exciting final Dutch Masters Cup 2025-2026

Never before has the final of the Dutch Master Cup for both men and women been so exciting until the end. To win, everyone had to skate fast on the final evening, Saturday 20 December 2025 in the Elfstedenhal in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.

Henriëtte Goede winner of the women’s cup
By finishing third in the final, Henriëtte Goede (L60) secured the victory of the women’s cup. With her third place, she took 150 % of the points, namely 105, bringing her to a total of 255 points.

With a time of 41.98 in the 500m, which brought her close to the WR to 98.28%, Mijke Anne Kanneworff (L40) again was the winner of the evening. However, due to her absence in DMC-I, she was unable to win the Dutch Masters Cup. With a total of 250 points, five points less than winner Henriëtte, she achieved second place in the final standings.

Kaska Rogulska (L55) narrowly reached the podium with a total of 175.5 points, with Lettie Zwanenburg (L65) close behind her. Lettie achieved 175 points in the final ranking. Number five in the final standings, Marlies de Jong (L60) was also close to the podium with 169 points.

The final classification for the women:

  1. Henriëtte Goede (L60): 255
  2. Mijke Anne Kanneworff (L40): 250
  3. Kaska Rogulska (L55): 175.5
  4. Lettie Zwanenburg (L65): 175
  5. Marlies de Jong (L60): 169

Another win for strong Kees Verdouw

Arjan Elferink (M50) and Kees Verdouw (M80) were both at the top of the intermediate standings with 180 points prior to the final. After Arjan’s 1500m, clocked in a time of 1:59.82 (97.55% of the WR of 1:56.89), there was another embrace between the men with “success” and Kees was allowed to go to the start of his 3K. He skated a great time with 5:31.46 and for a moment he also thought he had improved the world record. But it turned out to be 13/100ths above this world record! This was enough for the win of the evening and with a total of 330 points, Kees became also the winner in the final classification.

Arjan Elferink had accept his second place of both the evening and in the final classification. He followed Kees with a total of 300 points.

The number three of the evening, Bart Seffinga (M45), also became number three in the final standings with a total of 225 points. Fourth place in the final ranking was Jeroen Schoppink (M40) with 149.5 points. And fifth place was for Jan Boelen (M80), with a total of 138 points.

The final classification for the men:

  1. Kees Verdouw (M80): 330
  2. Arjan Elferink (M50): 300
  3. Bart Seffinga (M45): 225
  4. Jeroen Schoppink (M40): 149.5
  5. Jan Boelen (M80): 138

Nice to see that the top four of the final classification consists of four different categories for both women and men. So you can see that winning in every category is possible!
