In competition took part 209 athletes from 14 regions of Russia, from 13 to 76 years.Truly massive sporting event brought together athletes from different generations, showed continuity in speed skating. It led the whole families not only to the stadium seats, but on the ice.
Today speed skating in Russia not mass kind of sport, but with proper preparation of events like this it is possible to involve big audience in healthy way of life. Perhaps we should get rid of the word “Veteran” sport, it is necessary to talk about “mass” sport, sport of all ages.
