IMSSC48 (online)

The 48th IMSSC Session Meeting took place by online for two days on May 31 and June 1. Nation representatives from nineteen (19) countries got together with IMSSC board members & honorary members, along with ISU Council Member. The session meeting was started from the greeting by Kenji Takai, president of IMSSC. It was very productive discussions and thoughtful opinions were exchanged. One of the highlights was to congratulate for the tremendous success of IMSSC big three events, MSG2025 (101, Milwaukee USA), MAG2025 (207, Stavanger NOR) and MIST2025 (139, Drummondville CAN).

Because of enormous impact by Masters Short Track needs, we are in process to run MIST game as annual event from 2026, mostly Europe-based MIST2026 (Detail to be announced later). Due to the Olympic season, MSG2026 and MAG2026, a back-to-back on Jan 24-25 weekend and on Jan30-Feb1 weekend, will have limited participant counts, max 200 and max 220 accordingly.

In terms of IMSSC organization, Frank Anderson from AUS announced earlier to step down his position of Vice President of Short Track. Keith Wright from GBR, nominated by Frank, took unanimous votes to become new VP of ST, while engaging simultaneous task of his current position of Technical Delicate. Congratulation, Keith!

The IMSCC49 session will be dual session in 2026, having on-site meeting in Inzell during two upcoming MSG2026 in Innsbruck and MAG2026 in Inzell (Date will be either Jan 27 or Jan 28) and having online meeting on May (Date will be confirmed later).
